This Saturday in the Glades will be a busy one, from the 11th annual Glades REACH Fair to a bass tournament and dinner in honor of the late Jimmy McMillan. Both events showcase what this community does best – helping those in need.
REACH stands for Rural Education, Awareness and Community Health. The fair, sponsored by Glades Planned Approach to Community Health (or PATCH) and other health organizations, offers an array of free medical services to area residents.
Last year, more than 800 Glades residents attended the health fair and received medical attention.
It’s an event the community waits for.

Weve all heard about kids developing allergies but adults?
Doctors are seeing it more and more: adults who were never allergic to anything suddenly developing them.
As KDKA Health Editor Dr. Maria Simbra found out, these allergies could be life-threatening.
“Its still heavily based in children, but more and more recently I’ve been seeing more adults with complaints about possible food allergy,” Dr. David Skoner, of Allegheny General Hospital Allergy & Immunology, said.

If you are at all like us, it can be nerve-wracking any time you need accurate details concerning ovary cyst removal, and it seems nearly impossible to find.
