New sunscreen regulations are designed to protect people from the sun’s cancer-causing rays
AURORA, Colo. - With the first day of spring just one week away, anyone who spends time in the sun should be aware of new sunscreen regulations designed to help prevent skin cancer.

This Saturday in the Glades will be a busy one, from the 11th annual Glades REACH Fair to a bass tournament and dinner in honor of the late Jimmy McMillan. Both events showcase what this community does best – helping those in need.
REACH stands for Rural Education, Awareness and Community Health. The fair, sponsored by Glades Planned Approach to Community Health (or PATCH) and other health organizations, offers an array of free medical services to area residents.
Last year, more than 800 Glades residents attended the health fair and received medical attention.
It’s an event the community waits for.

As KDKA Health Editor Dr. Maria Simbra found out, these allergies could be life-threatening.
