ADHA To Host Largest National Dental Hygiene Meeting At 88th Annual Session In Nashville, Tenn.

The American Dental Hygienists’ Association (ADHA) will maintain its status with the largest national dental hygiene meeting with more than 1,700 dental hygienists, and more than 2,000 total participants set to attend the Center for Lifelong Learning at the 88th Annual Session (CLL/AS). U.S. And Canadian Pediatricians Fight Tooth Decay Among Indigenous Children

Early childhood tooth decay is one of the most common infectious diseases found in indigenous children in the United States and Canada, resulting in additional adverse health effects. In a new policy statement, “Early Childhood Caries in Indigenous Communities,” in the June 2011 issue of Pediatrics (published online Monday, May 30), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Canadian Paediatric Society (CPS) provide recommendations for the prevention of dental disease in young children and pregnant women, through collaboration with primary health care providers, policy makers, and public health practitioners in indigenous communities. Delayed endovascular treatment of descending aorta stent graft collapse in a patient treated for post- traumatic aortic rupture: a case report

We report a case of delayed endovascular correction of graft collapse occurred after emergent Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair (TEVAR) for traumatic aortic isthmus rupture.

In 7th post-operative day after emergent TEVAR for traumatic aortic isthmus rupture (Gore TAG 28-150), a partial collapse of the endoprosthesis at the descending tract occurred, with no signs of visceral ischemia.

Report Finds Americans More Concerned About Germs On Their Hands, Their Shopping Carts Than Germs In Their Mouths

You might think that in an increasingly germ-o-phobic nation, people would take extra care to eliminate oral disease-causing germs from their mouths, but you’d be wrong. While nearly 80 percent of Americans feel concerned about germs on their hands, only 66 percent worry about germs in their mouths, according to the new “Healthy Mouths” report from the makers of LISTERINE® Antiseptic and REACH® brand.
